This is a first in a series of noises from machines. I work at a company that prints and packages things like decals and parts on cars. This is the noise of the printer making some sort of thumping noise, as it was broken at the time and hadn’t gotten to be fixed. If you’re wondering what hat terrible whirring is in the background, that is the combined noise of about a dozen large machines operating as well as the ac and it’s pretty commonplace there. Sorry about that, hope you can still use the recording anyway :).

Recorded on iphone 12 of a dual-blade window fan where on of the fans/blades starts off stuck, squeaks, until it catches up to the other.

Uncertain origin, but most likely a slowed-down clip of an old wall-mounted pencil sharpener. Used for a mechanical crank in my game the life and times of daniel vastberaden.

Vintage typewriter, olympia of 1956, inserting paper, adjusting, typing words and senetences with two finger push search system. At the end the sheet is pulled out of the machine. Sound is self created and recorded with "tascam dr-05". Original use in projekt "akte 12" (file 12). Alte schreibmaschine, eine olympia von 1956. Es werden das blatt eingeführt und justiert, ganze worte und sätze im zwei-finger-tast-suchsystem geschrieben. Am ende wird das blatt mit der hand aus der maschine gezogen. Geräusch selbst erzeugt und aufgenommen mit "tascam dr-05". Ursprüngliche verwendung im projekt "akte 12".

A writer types various text sequences and vintage music plays in background. All set to have been done in 1967. A collection of short clips so no copyright infringements on the music titles. A quick piece i made using various effects, to give the impression of a factory accident in which a fire/explosion occurs, and steam vents and opened etc. Attribution information:. I'm afraid i threw that together 7 years ago when i would have been 14 years old. I can't really remember whether i used any other sounds to make it, or if i generated it (and definitely can't remember who needs attributed if soundswere used). If you recognise any of your work in this - just give me a shout/report it; i've got no problem removing this, as i said; did it a long time ago and forgot i'd even made it. So just be aware there are risks in using this and you'd probably be better just making a new better one to replace this anyway. Thanks!.

Typing and typewriter related sounds from a vintage 1960s smith-corona corsair deluxe typewriter. Typing at different speeds, return "bell", page crank, space bar, tab etc.

A compressor at the atacama large millimeter array (alma) radio telescope, at 5028 m elevation, in chile. The compressor, which is part of the cryogenic system, makes a rhythmic wheezing sound. Some voices are heard in the background. Loops at 120 bpm (loop points set in. Wav file). Alma is an astronomical interferometer of 66 radio telescopes in the atacama desert of northern chile, which observe electromagnetic radiation at millimeter and submillimeter wavelengths from the depths of space. .

Some kind of tardis-esque machinery humming away, ready to project the adventurer into outer space. Would be useful as a sound effect for a video involving strange futuristic machinery. No effects have been put on it to aid this. This was created with my eurorack, the main component is a waldorf wavetable oscillator nw-1 module, put through an a-127 triple voltage controlled resonance filter and a a-188-2 tapped bdd delay. The filter and oscillator are modulated in sync by an a-145 lfo.

Made this using an echo. Sounds like something from eraserhead. Tweaked around the knobs and settings throughout so theres quite a bit of different noises in this sample. Use it however you like.
